  • Since May a handful of iOS developers noticed that their reviews went missing. None admitted to having bought reviews, nevertheless, it is clear now, that Apple is taking actions against fake ratings on the App Store.
  • On-line retail giant Amazon has pitched itself into the smartphone world dominated by Apple and Samsung by launching its own “Fire Phone”. And according to an early API partner, Amazon’s new phone is a dream for mobile developers.
  • Google is rumored to unveil an operating system for your car at its annual developers conference, Google I/O, later this month. According to Google vice president Sundar Pichai, Auto Link solution will “easily integrate mobile technology into cars and offer drivers a familiar, seamless experience so they can focus on the road.”
  • The Finnish firm has just released Z Launcher, a home screen replacement that gets you to frequently-used apps, contacts and sites as quickly as possible. The software learns your habits and surfaces the content you’re most likely to use based on where you are, what you’re doing and the time of day.
