Project summary:

The Client is a global innovator in e-learning technology that offers a winning range of desktop-based language learning systems for education institutions.

The project goal is to implement a licensing framework that is easy-to-use for the clients’ sales partners and enable the e-learning application service provider to get the information about end users and control the licensing process on this side.

The licensing and activation framework, which Oxagile is working on, consists of:

1) Universal module for the various desktop-based products of the Client.
2) Secure encrypted interfaces between the desktop activation module and web-based back-end.
3) Secure database for storing tokens, licenses, activation and user data.
4) Back-end for processing tokens and generating licenses.
5) Web-based UI for operating personnel.

Project summary:

The End Client, a Pan-European telecom operator, ran a Video On Demand service that used Silverlight 2 on the front end. 

The project involves the development of a new front end instead of its legacy version, which had obvious problems with performance and load times, and refinement of the previous simplistic mobile interface for the VOD service built in XHTML. The new front-end is based on the Zend framework, while Silverlight 4 is employed for the system and the video player, including new Smooth Streaming and PlayReady DRM technologies. 

Oxagile collaborates with the Client on the development of the new platform that will include extended functionality for content and media management, a custom advertising module, a video recommendation feature, advanced search, variable skins, web 2.0 interactivity (ratings, comments, social networks integration), tag cloud navigation and much more.

This monetization platform is designed to drive advertising revenue to online publishers. This web-based solution represents a set of tools allowing publishers to connect to a wide variety of ad networks. The application performs lots of automated actions and gives a possibility to consolidate reporting from discretionary inventory. This set of tools will power the next generation of online advertising through its comprehensive discretionary ad inventory management options.
